Hi, I have a RWA 1275 Midget that has grown a loose S/W. It disengages when pulled back and clearly the collapsible element is at fault. I have to remove it and disassemble to repair. Any useful tips?

Just fixed the one on my 1500. You’ll find a small hole in the outer and part way through the inner that a small drill can fit in to locate position while you fix it. I’ve read that originally molten plastic was injected into the holes and around the grooves in the inner. This then set. Being clumsy or an accident breaks these. Other MG sites recommend a hot glue gun and melting the plasticky glue into the holes, and that’s what I’ve done. I heated it all up with a hot air gun to stop it setting too soon on the cold metal. Seems fine.
